I am thrilled to be starting my 4th year teaching 2nd grade here at Ascent Academy - West Jordan, and to be able to team teach with Mrs. Marler again this year!  I work each morning teaching math and science, two subjects that I love to learn about and teach to students. 

I was born and raised in Utah and reside in West Jordan. I received my degree from the University of Utah.  My husband and I have four kids (Ellie, Noah, Carter, and Leah), a Shih Tzu named Harley, and a Boston Terrier named Indie. Our kids range in age from twelve to twenty.  A few things I love to spend time doing with family and friends are traveling, playing games, going to the movies and being outdoors, especially in the mountains hiking and camping.

I enjoy being creative and seeking out ways to make learning fun and engaging for students. I am looking forward to a fantastic year!
