Assistant Principal

I am thrilled to be back with my Ascent family as the assistant principal for the 2020-21 school year.  This is my 13th year in education, during which I have taught kindergarten through post-high school. I have served as a teacher of the Deaf and hard of hearing, a transition specialist, and most recently, an education specialist for the Utah State Board of Education in the Special Education Section.  I am looking forward to learning and growing from the experience of Mrs. Ward and the rest of the Ascent team.

As the assistant principal, I am committed to listening, continuous learning, and supporting the staff and students to reach their fullest potential.  

Personally, I am married and have two wonderful children.  As a family, we enjoy paddle boarding, visiting my family in South Carolina, family movie nights, and cooking new recipes together.  I look forward to getting to know the students and families at Ascent.
