I am excited to be your child’s ninth grade teacher. This will be my seventh year teaching; however, my first year at Ascent Academy. Before teaching ninth grade, I also taught sixth, seventh, and eighth grade math and science in Phoenix.

I also spent time teaching in Italy where I taught sixth grade math and english. I recently relocated to Millcreek in June and am thrilled to be in the Salt Lake area! I enjoy watching sports, art and literature, along with traveling the world with my girlfriend and pitbull. 

I was born in Beckley, West Virginia, but moved to Columbus, Ohio to attend high school. I was raised in Huntington, West Virginia and still spend time there in the summer with friends and family. I miss Mountaineer games and southern lifestyles. Education I attended Marshall University for my undergrad, where I received my degree in Social Studies Education. Later on, I attended the University of Colorado - Boulder (Go Buffs!) where I earned a masters degree in Math and Science Curriculum and Instruction. I miss Boulder and hope to visit there often!
