I am really excited for the upcoming school year and to be a part of Ascent Academies.  This will be my 15th year teaching. I have taught grades 6th, 5th, and 2nd and did my student teaching in 3rd.  I have loved every year - each being a new adventure with exciting rewards. Prior to teaching, I worked as a paralegal in California for ten years.  I decided to move to Utah where my family resides. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University and a Master of Arts Degree in Education.

I am single, and I have one daughter who is also a graduate from Brigham Young University. She is now working as operational director/partner of Capita Finance.  My passions are reading, tennis, kayaking, horseback riding, and family.
