Fourth Grade

I am so excited to be back at Ascent Academy-West Jordan this year! I am excited to see the progress we will be able to make after this last history-making year! I can't wait to be back in the classroom with students!

Teaching has been a life-long dream of mine but took me several years to pursue.

Before finishing my degree, I worked in finance for almost 15 years, but could never shake the desire to teach and so, with a teenager and two toddlers at home I decided to go back to school to pursue a teaching degree. I graduated from Western Governors University in 2017 with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I taught in Granite School District for the 2017-2018 school year, and before that substituted in Murray School District.

I love working with children and am constantly amazed at their abilities and thought processes. I truly believe that all children have infinite potential to do amazing things in the world, and I love being a small part of helping them discover their potential.

When I am not at work, I love spending my free time reading any book I can get my hands on, learning new things, or taking drives just to see where I end up and what I can find.  I have 3 children who keep me on my toes constantly and make every day an adventure.
