I am so excited to serve as an instructional coach at Ascent Academy again in the 2022-23 school year. This will be my 16th year in education. I graduated from BYU with a BS degree in Elementary Education.
I previously taught first, second and third grade in Alpine school district. I later substitute taught for four years, and then served as a certified math/reading interventionist for five years in Humble ISD in Houston, TX. I also enjoyed teaching early morning church classes to 10th graders a couple of years ago as well as 20+ years working with children and youth through different church-related volunteer positions.
I have tremendous respect and admiration for our Ascent team members! I am entirely committed to supporting them and collaborating with them to create the very best learning environment and opportunities for our students.
My husband of thirty years and our four daughters (three grown, one at home still) have thoroughly enjoyed our experiences in moving back to Utah just a few years ago. What a beautiful place! Our family has fun playing the piano and singing together, playing games, making sushi, hiking, and traveling to new places.
Really looking forward to growing and learning together through supporting our students and staff as we start a new year at Ascent Academy!
