I am very pleased to be your student’s 7th and 8th grade history teacher.  I have been a teacher for many years in Utah, this being my first year teaching at Ascent Academy.  I have had the privilege of teaching 7th and 8th history, along with social studies.

I have had the opportunity to work with many different students in my career including Native American students in Fort Duchesne.  Pow Wows will never be forgotten and you have not lived unless you’ve done the Bear dance in spring!

I was born in Hollywood California, but moved to Utah during my Junior high year (go Orem Jaguars!).  I moved to Laie Hawaii where I attended Brigham Young University Hawaii (go Seasiders) and graduated with a BA in History/Government.  I lived in Hawaii for fifteen years and have a beautiful polynesian family.  I have received an MA in education and managed to squeeze a STEM endorsement along the way.

My favorite things to do are spend time with family and grandkids and learn and explore the world around us!!
